In recent years, continuous revisions of basketball competition regulations and the improvement of athletes’ physical conditions and technical literacy have triggered a comprehensive transformation of offensive strategies in modern basketball. Traditional offensive modes that relied heavily on low-post dominance and fixed positional arrangements are no longer adaptable to current high-intensity competitions. Instead, modern basketball has formed a new competitive style characterized by expanded court space, accelerated game rhythm and diversified collaborative tactics. Contemporary offensive design focuses on reasonable spatial layout, flexible rhythm conversion, coordinated teamwork and continuous ball movement, mainly covering screen-based tactics, flowing team offense, full-space perimeter tactics and fast-break transition attacks. By adopting document analysis, video observation and logical induction, this study explores the core features, typical tactical categories, practical application values and common limitations of modern offensive systems.The research indicates that updated offensive strategies can significantly enhance teams’ scoring efficiency and adaptive capability against diverse defensive styles. However, practical application still reveals prominent problems, including excessive dependence on three-point shots and inconsistent on-site tactical execution. This paper aims to provide practical theoretical support and operational guidance for modern basketball daily training and match tactical deployment.
