Chinese-style modernization, characterized by its immense population size,
common prosperity for all, coordination between material and spiritual civilization,
harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature, and a commitment to peaceful
development, cannot be advanced without the support of high-quality technical and skilled
talents and the optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure. As an independent
educational type operating in parallel with general education, vocational education possesses
both educational and service functions. It serves as a crucial link connecting the education
chain and talent chain with the industrial chain and innovation chain, undertaking a unique
mission in the process of Chinese-style modernization. This paper elucidates the inherent
compatibility between Chinese-style modernization and vocational education, clarifies the
core mission of vocational education, analyzes the current shortcomings in the adaptation
of vocational education development to Chinese-style modernization, and explores targeted
innovative strategies for its developmental path. The aim is to provide theoretical reference
and practical pathways for vocational education to empower the construction of Chinese-style
modernization.
