摘要

Since cinema was established as the “Seventh Art”, its artistic identity has been continuously tested amid technological iteration and commercial impact, especially for Chinese cinema, which has experienced the collapse and reconstruction of artistic attributes in the new century. Against the backdrop of diverse cultural trends, contemporary young Chinese directors have undertaken a collective unconscious retrospection on traditional Oriental aesthetics and Lao-Zhuang Philosophy, forming a three-dimensional artistic exploration involving temporal-spatial, character, and ideological turns. By shifting the narrative focus from urban spaces to pastoral rural areas, shaping characters based on Lao-Zhuang philosophical paradigms, and restoring Oriental poetic aesthetics characterized by implicitness and blank space, they reconstruct the spiritual homeland in images. This exploration not only endows Chinese cinema with new artistic vitality but also reshapes its philosophical orientation and aesthetic value, opening up a new path for the expression of national cinematic philosophy.
