This paper first explores the concepts and characteristics of the (ideal moral person) personality in the philosophies of Confucius and Laozi. It then conducts a comparative analysis of their similarities and differences from the perspectives of moral qualities and cultivation paths. Although the two thinkers differ in many respects, they share common value orientations and philosophical foundations, and their ideas can complement each other under certain conditions. Finally, this paper discusses the historical evolution and contemporary significance of the personality, highlighting its important implications for contemporary youth, especially in personal development and the resolution of social problems. Through a systematic examination of the ideals of Confucius and Laozi, this study aims to promote a deeper understanding of the spirit and to demonstrate its enduring value in modern society.
